This workshop was the first one within a series of workshops targeting the Youth Advisory Committees (YAC). The workshop assisted participants in:

Identifying their own skills and talents

Understanding common methods of youth activism: educate, advocate, and donate

Understanding that youth can create change on a local, national, or international level using these methods

Learning about the influential role of young people as agents for change

Developing greater understanding about how youths can be effective leaders in their community

The overall result of the workshop is that participants were introduced to Youth activism, the methods of activism and the importance of young people involvement in making a difference in their communities. Participants agreed that they will continue working as YAC and they recognized that their involvement is essential for the success of this project which will benefit youth in Cyprus and Europe.
